Dear Friends,

The concept of Metapopulation is useful but the book (Molecular Markers Natural History
and Evolution) by John C. Avise (1994), Chapman & Hall; ISBN: 0412037815, is more
basic in broad perspectives and well-written. This author has published a new book:
"Phylogeography : The History and Formation of Species" by John C. Avise (2000),
Harvard Univ Pr; ISBN: 0674666380, and I have just got it and started to read. Those who
are interested in what is population or species may wish to read these informative books.
