A couple of years ago, while traveling around Florida, I attended a meeting
of the Sanibel shell club. A gentleman from the shell museum had brought
shells for a quiz/show & tell session. One of the shells was a Xenophora, I'm
not sure what species but it wasn't pallida. This particular snail had
collected only donax valves and had arranged them at regular intervals around
the shell. This had been one anal-rententive carrier snail. But as I held it
on the palm of my hand, oooh, how I wanted it.

Pure shell lust.
