Raymond Burr was Honorary Chairman of the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum's
Capital Campaign of the early 1990s, which aimed to raise funds for
construction of the museum building. He was also an avid collector
specializing on cowries, owned land in the Fijian archipelago and, most
notably, played Perry Mason (1957-1966) and Ironside in the respective TV
series. Raymond Burr's unselfish help and appreciation of the Shell Museum,
and his love for nature and gardening are permanently celebrated in the
museum's Burr Memorial Garden.

Cheers,
