Although not associated with the mollusk collection at FLMNH any longer I
was the one that started the leg: stuff back in 1983. At that time I was
told leg: meant legacy so we usually entered i.e. Leg: Univ. Alabama, Ex:
T. H. Aldrich Collection. Usually neither members of the Alabama museum
nor Aldrich collected the specimens. These notes were entered in the
Remarks field. If the collector was known (not usually) his/her name was
entered in the collector field.
