 In the Mediterranean (and nearby Atlantic) we also have Perna picta with
greenish colour, however it is not very common. I have seen and tasted Perna
viridis, in our restaurants as well. P. viridis is mush bigger than P. picta.
P. viridis is imported by most European countries.
