I received the following and thought I would pass it on to the members on
Conch-L hoping someone might be interested in this research or could help
Michael. Thanks,
Tom Eichhorst in New Mexico (USA)
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Michael Zuykov. I am a Ph. D student in
St.Petersburg State University, Russia. Since 1997 I am a Researcher in
Biomineralogical group at V.G.Khlopin Radium Institute.
My professional profile - "Experimental investigation on the process of
migration and accumulation of radionuclides (Cs-137, Sr-90, Am-241) by
freshwater mollusks (Bivalvia, Gastropoda)".
Now I have started studying shell material of Dreissena polymorpha and
Potamopyrgus that was contaminated by redionuclides during radioecological
experiments.
I have some questions to you as to a member of "COA" and a specialist on
study of shell of mollusks. I would like to contact specialists who study
shell material of Dreissena polymorpha. Could you please let me know the
names and e-mail addresses of such specialists. Maybe somebody of the
members of COA would be interested in joint study of shell mollusks of
Dreissena polymorpha with radionuclides incorporated into the shell of
mollusks.
Thank you in advance,
Sincerely yours,
Michael Zuykov
