Quietly horning in here.  Do you think your friend in New Caledonia would be
open to an exchange of nerites?  There are some pretty wild species from
that island and I would happily trade worldwide specimens for some.  If you
think they would not want to be bothered, no problem, I understand.  If they
are open, let them know I would gladly send a box of stuff first -- on spec
as it were.
