in the old "Catalog der Conchylien-Sammlung" von Fr. Paetel
Berlin, 1888 there are a lot abbreviations of the names of
authors.
 
L. for Linnaeus
Lm for Lamarck
Brug. for Bruguiere
Sow. for Sowerby etc.
 
Paetel is a very important catalogue with nearly all the names
of inland-shells and marine shells he had at this time in his
collection.
Most of the names of the authors are abbreviated and there might
be a lot of confusion.
