It is the local variety of Hexaplex oxytatus.
Atypical of Roatan & Guanaja specimens.
Utila specimens are slightly different in the color pattern.

Subject: Muricopsis on Mollusc Net auction

Hi,
Could I also please ask an ID question this time? There is a Muricopsis
sp. on the current Mollusc Net auction, from Honduras, which I have
repeatedly collected myself and have never been able to identify. Does
anybody know what it is? I'd be very grateful for any help. Thanks!

Best,
Monika in San Diego
