Dear Mike,
I can't believe no one has mentioned the Natural History Museum in Santa
Barbara, where Dr Henry "Hank" Cheney is working. Hank is current (?)
president of the American Malacological Museum, gave a delightful talk at
COA last year, and is an all-around great guy. He also has charge of a
fantastic facility, fairly newly built, with wonderful cabinets and some
great shells. There are only a couple of displays, gee, wow kind of things,
but if you're looking for research or want to see a good study collection,
contact Hank at the museum. He's generous of his time.
