"Natica hebraea" is one of the many names applied by Martyn in the 18th
century which were later declared invalid by the ICZN. Any time you see
a species name with "Martyn" after it, the name is likely not current
(unless the species is from New Zealand). The species he named Natica
ebraea currently goes under the name Natica cruentata (Gmelin, 1791). It
is a Mediterranean species, and is not found in the Pacific. There are
several spotted moon snails in the Philippines, and several in the
Mediterranean, but none of them are found both places.
