Dear All:
 
Whether it was a shell show or a 'malacological' meeting, I don't know
of any long-time amateur or professional mollusk person who did not
nurture their interest through these gatherings.  I know that I lived
away from any groups and waited with great interest for the one annual
meeting I could attend.
