Hi folks,
I collected some of the bivalve Macoma balthica this last weekend from the Oregon Coast (west coast of the US). They were bright pink when I collected them from the beach but had faded to almost gray within a day or two. Has anyone else experienced this fading in M. balthica, and is there some treatment for preventing it?
Thanks for your help.
Roland
