I am pleased to announce that the first batch of catalogued lots of The
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum can now be searched online; check
www.shellmuseum.org/collection.html; we have only about 11,000 records
available at this point, but anticipate to quickly expand the number of
these searchable records in the near future.
This project has been made possible through a collaboration between the
Shell Museum (Dick Willis, Jon Greenlaw, Tina Petrikas), the Southwest
Florida Library Network (Vince Mariner), and the Library at Florida Gulf
Coast University (Georgia Allen) in Fort Myers, Florida.
Your input on how to improve the database, searches, and the information
content of search results will be most welcome.
