Thank You Ronald and Mike for an interesting point of view.

           I collect, personally, when I can but interesting locales are
inconvenient to visit and inaccessible from where I am.  There are also time
constraints so I also collect through dealers.  judging by the number of
dealers and the prices some shells command, I conclude that many other
collectors fancy this option.....William
