As Andrew suggests, i think liquid paraffin, which is permanant, liquid,
odorless and non-degradable, may indeed be an excellent method of
preservation for bivalves with more perio than shell, or simply flakey,
fragile perio of most kinds. Does anyone have some experience with this
substance in this capacity?
