Er... Haustellum is a genus, not a subgenus of Murex, though they can
be similar enough to be difficult to distinguish. According to Vokes
Murex does not occur in the Americas, and all similar spp there are
Haustellum.

Hexaplex is also a genus, and is not at all close to Murex.
