Hi, Shell Lovers!

I am still cataloguing, and I have a Trochus from an old
collection, labelled as "erythraeus Brocchi." However,
the coloring does not agree with images in a book and on
one well-known URL. It is a bright red brown against a
bright bluish grayish green, in axial bands.

I have an image, albeit poor in the depth of field, but it
would show the colors, or, depending on your screen, at
least the pattern of the colors I have described. If you
will contact me, I will send you the image off list (and
from an alternate e-mail which is where all of my images
are routed by my sytem).

Thanks,
Linda
