I was never able to remove it completely, but some collectors use microwaves when the animal is
still fresh. My brother got a beautiful T. areolata in Fiji and we only removed the foot, all the
rest is still stuck inside.
I left it on alcohol for one week, then placed on my drier cabinet for a couple days. I repeated it
four times and now it seems it is fully dried and no smell, but I see no way to remove the remaining
animal from inside
Others use peroxide which I never tried since it I did not find here in Brazil in enough high
concentration.
Marcus
