Remember, I'm a Physicist, Engineer and such by schooling and training
and work.

Tracking of snails with metal tags.. Next RF-ID tags!!
That is interesting! Using a Metal Detector to track snails with metal tags.
I think the big metal Detector company sells one for beaches and water...
One of the models for 'beach' under products has a double loop and works to
6 meters under water.

One of which is :

(no connection to them - not even a model in the house. Want one though)

ID an existing shell:

How about in the lab in your NDT Non Destruct Testing use:
NMR Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. This is a precursor to like machines
in the ""X-RAY"" lab, turned into high tech lab. Perhaps for Universities
and Museums these machines that resonate atoms by their resonate frequency.
(electron orbit injection of energy, release of said energy, sense impulse)
[as in the chemical flame or bead test - this version is electronic and NDT.]

Chemicals can be ID with certain peaks. With this in mind, the various
minerals a species uses in the glorification of itself would be a good
source of 'finger printing' species. Sub species might be sorted this way
where an eye might not detect the subtle difference in the amount of iron or ...

Maybe a feasibility study could be run by someone with connections to
existing equipment. Physical Chemists, Physicists, and perhaps Biologists
in Universities might have equipment for labs or lecture. Perhaps a grant
brought an instrument to a lab. Perhaps the university medical school.....
doing NMR in color.

Just a thought or two.

See some of you in San Antonio.

Martin
