Good report.

I was in a JEDEC meeting on the KONA coast. nice man made sand beach.

Remember winter storms are likely as the Pacific runs into cold air from
Alaska and sends it southwards. Good about that, it creates more north
and north west shore waves. These drive shells landward.

So if you can put up with the rain and lack of people if raining ?! - might
be fruitful.

Much has changed in the 'southern' beaches of the big island - now more
rock.
Flows have eaten up highways and beaches.

Before planning on getting there by this way - find out if the road is open.
If closed - it might present you with more shelling. But turning around
is best be planned.

A temporary road might be complete though the overflow region. Real
time news
is needed.

Good luck with the tickets, and shelling!
