Hi Karlynn,

I heard the good news yesterday through Bill Frank. I had told Harry
Lee that I was getting tired of eating my veggies and going to the
gym every day trying to survive until the book got published.

I have not received my copies yet; however, Harry has been kind
enough to send me through the years excerpts from his ms of
descriptions and photos of species that I needed for research. I am
sure that my testimony is not needed,as Harry's Conch-L messages and
publications have been widely read, but I certainly can vow for the
meticulous descriptions of the species as well as their careful
comparison with similar taxa. This is not just a picture book.

Although the title suggests a regional approach, Marine Shells of
Northeast Florida includes many species found from the northeast
coast of the US to Brazil and the western Gulf of Mexico. It will be
extremely useful not only to collectors of western Atlantic shells,
but to all collectors with a wide interest in mollusks.

Emilio
