Dear Charlie,

Here is Brian Hayes' take on the place name Southpoint:

"Hello John,
Thanks. There is no Southpoint - it must be a spelling mistake. There is
a Southport :
which is on the south coast of Natal - about 100 km south of Durban.
Hope this helps.

Kind regards
Brian"

Brian is a well known collector and shell dealer from South Africa, who
recently moved to North Carolina in the United States.

Yours,

John K. Tucker
