dear Conch-lers
is there anybody with knowledge on freshwater bivalves in Europe ? Some
friends have problems in identificating a large ( 20 cm. and more ) Unio
that spread a few years ago in eastern Padania plates, in slowly running
waters .
It is about trapezoidal in shape , with thin shell , and they always crack
in the middle , regardless the way you treat or store them .

Well , it is the firs time I use the list so I think is good if I briefly
intoduce myself . I am about 40 years old ,I am italian and like to collect
Strombidae and Cardiidae . If you have specimens to sale , trade or excange
please E-mail me [log in to unmask]
I have some shells from Thailand and Vietnam , and can get some from
mediterranean and west-africa .
Thanks ! Virgilio

.
strombus and cardium collector , I would like to excange
shells , and papers about them . Virgilio Liverani
