Hi all,

One of many surprises I am encountering as I peruse Poppe's Philippine
Marine Mollusks. I was looking up Murex nigrispinosus, a fairly common
Philippine species. It's not listed in the book. But then I spotted a couple
of illustrations that sure look a lot like it, only they are labeled "Murex
ternispina", a name I am familiar with, but never considered synonymous with
M. nigrispinosus. Are these names synonymous?
