Dear fellow Conch-lers,

Recently i´ve heard of a marine slug (family Onchiidae) that from time to time releases a "cuticle", likewise a person that has sunburn. Strangelly, it was not a mucous, but a quitin cuticle that bears scars of tubercles ans pustules of the living animal.
Does any of you have heard of or seen such a structure in mollusca?

regards
Fabio W.
