Keith,
I realize there are a lot of Hyde Parks, such as in NY, we even have one in
Houston.
Hyde Park, founded in 1891, is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Austin,
Texas.
Polygyra texasensis texasiana (P.t.t.) should be easily found there.

By contrast, a coincidental mention of a Hyde Park, and a P.t.t. records
appear in the same Nautilus Volume:
The Nautilus. Vol. XXXVIII OCTOBER, 1924. No. 2

... Mr. E. E. Hand, of the Hyde Park High School, Chicago
... ON THE RIO GRANDE, BY JAMES H. PERRISS

I have acquired an old shell collection and books. Mostly Hawaiian but some
worldwide stuff. There are some lists of shells dated 1924 from a Mr.
George Unmact that lists this land shell as being very rare.
Collected by a Mr. Hand at "Hyde Park High". Do any of you recognize any of
these names? Aloha, Keith Zeilinger
