Thanks Marlo and Harry,

I was just asking about what species are found in the Gulf of Mexico. I
couldn't find any references to O. fulgurator or scripta in the Gulf so I
thought to ask the listers. The taxonomy problem (whether 3 or 31 species
and subspecies) could be enlightened by genetic work. I'm trying to collect
samples from different populations of the Western Atlantic species to send
to Gustav Pauly's lab at the U. of FL. If anyone is interested in helping
with the collection of a few preserved specimens (at least six from one
location), please let me know.

Greg Nielsen
