The November issue of Internet Hawaiian Shell News (IHSN) is now on
line. An article on Hawaiian Brachiopods is the major article and gives
much of the basics on Brachiopods, which many shell collectors of micro
shells encounter when going through sand samples.

Before going through my small collection of Brachiopods before sending
them to Ron Voskuil, I had thought I had about two species, but after
photographing each specimen that seemed different, I found at least 6
species. Ron Voskuil, the article author confirms this.

There is also a primer on Nudibranchs, to which many shell collectors
pay little attention. There is a lot to learn in this group of
shell-less Molluscs. Kim Hutsell also has a full set of plans for
building a dredge and instructions for its use.

Aloha,

Wes
