I attempted to see the photos but the message that I got was that it was a private page and I did not have permission to see it.

Tom Eichhorst sent me the photos of the Mexican snail embedded in amber. I asked him and then the photographer, Daniel O'Quinn for permission to post them on Flickr:

Daniel provided further information. He's sure is is a snail, not a bivalve, and he estimates the shell is about 7-8 mm long. The specimen is from Simojovel, Chiapas, Mexico.
