Methinks John Jacobs is not familiar with the subject of soft parts
dissection, particularly in relation to the bivalvia.

1. Most new species are derived from examination of old collections,
museum and private.

2. What do you derive from dissecting bivalve soft parts in the same
genus?????

We have tried dissection and sperm morphology without any conclusive
results in the bivalvia.

The scaphopoda radula is excellent for identification but what about
species without a radula.

Perhaps John has some new ideas we could try out
