Thanks Marlo,

The type local for "Boonea" is Galveston Bay in Texas, for a species
dwelling in our muck-bottom oyster communities. Its namesake is the late
Constance E. "Connie" Boone of Houston Texas (Dec 3, 1917 ~ Sept 13, 1999),
it's original collector, who passed away while on a collecting trip to
Australia. She was a president and secretary of AMS (AMU) and the
Malacology Curator of the Houston Museum of Natural Science after Dr. Thomas
E. Pulley passed away.

Additionally, I believe Boonea has been elevated to Family level, ...at
least that is a conversation I recall overhearing.
However, WORMS list it as invalid, and I do not seem to find a species
associated with Robertson, 1978.

Harry, care to straighten me out on this?

Subject: [CONCH-L] An Odostoma revisited

These little white shells have always been difficult for me to remember and
separate.
So, I've finally put all those reasonably common ones I've collected and
presented onto one page for quick reference.
I've revisited Boonea impressa (Say, 1822), and as a result revised
Odostomiinae of Florida
Hope this is useful.

Marlo
