Pierre
I have two Oliva i. nivea that I collected in San Felipe that I will lend
for study.
I have only found 6 specimens in the last 40 years of collecting, Oliva i.
burchorum are also very rare. I have collected around 15-20 in the past
from San Felipe and El Golfo de Santa Clara, Sonora.

Cheers
Rick

Subject: [CONCH-L] Albinistic Oliva incrassata (f.nivea) and Oliva sayana

Recently I obtained the Oliva collections of Dennis Sargent and Bill
Hamilton. Several supposed albinistic Oliva sayana all appeared to be
discolored specimens. No albinistic Oliva incrassata in both collections.
Presumable there will be quite a few albinistic Oliva incrassata in US
collections which are actually discolored golden specimens (f.burchorum).

Since I am busy with an article about albinism, melanism, aurantism and
erythrism in Olividae I am looking for real albinistic specimens
O.incrassata and O.sayana for sale or exchange.
