Hi, everyone!
This may have been covered before but may still be of interest. It appears that almost every journal has a different type of format for the research it publishes, especially the reference list. If researchers decide on a journal to submit a paper to, and then change to another, all the formatting usually has to be adjusted. It's not much of a problem when there is a short reference list but, when there are a large number of references, changing the format can be quite time-consuming.
This may be only a "tempest in a teapot" but has any though been given to a universal standard formal for journals? I believed it would make things easier when preparing a manuscript for publication.
Best regards from Korea!
