Does anyone have any experience with insuring their private collection. I know this has issues, but my collection is now getting fairly valuable, and I live in So. California and my collection is housed in my carriage house, second floor (Circa 1910). The possibility of it getting destroyed is real. The last time I mentioned it to my agent, she did not know where to start. I added up my purchase costs recently and was kind of shocked at how much I had invested. I am primarily Olividae, but have a wide ranging selection of other species also.
