Dear correspondents (with customary apologies for cross-posting),

In 1843 the original descriptions of 105 species in 44 genera of
mollusks from the Neogene of SE Virginia appeared in a short paper by
Henry Charles Lea. This rare and obscure private publication, with a
discussion of its historical, taxonomic, and bibliographic context,
is now posted through/at <http://www.jaxshells.org/classic.htm>.

Pat LaFollette ferreted out this opus, and webmeister Bill Frank
graciously adapted it to the Internet.

Harry G. Lee
