I was asked by Archie Jones of Miami to place a "warning" on the Conch-L
list concerning the use of Armor-All as a preservative for shells
(especially Liguus). Archie had heard that there was a thread circulating
relative to the use of the above mentioned silicone-based product as a
preservative, Archie asked that I make certain to post that Armaor-All
comes in two flavors -- one product is a CLEANER which contains abrasives
which would be quite damaging to any shell. The preferred product is the
PRESERVATIVE formula.
