Other Euglandina-related idiocy has taken place in Palau, Society Islands,
etc.  The data were there to indicate that this move would be bad.
Officials tend to think that these things can't happen in their own
backyards.  Guess again.
 
Hey, I have to do some museum stuff.  Too much to respond to on Conch-L
this morning.  Darn, my job is becoming almost full-time.  Where will it end?
