We are trying to organize our fossil gastropods into families, etc. We
have a couple specimens of Symmetrocapulus tessoni(syn.Patella rugosa).
This Jurassic (Bajocian) genus was 'questionably' placed in the limpets
in the Paleo Treatise (1960). Could anyone advise of a publication on
Limpets written in the last couple of decades that might include some
information of the fossil history of this group. Just as limpets are
stuck on rocks, we are stuck on trying to find a history of this group.
