Another Terebra buff is Hiroyoshi Yamashita, who knows all about the
Japanese species. He has written some papers on them, including one in the
Yuriyagai (1996 : vol. 4 (1-2) : 61-64, 10 figs).
The Yuriyagai is an interesting publication; articles on all mollusca as
long as they are at least partially represented in Yamaguchi Prefecture,
western Japan. English translations or summaries throughout, well
illustrated and full of interesting stuff. New species descriptions too.
Anyone who's interested should contact Hiroshi Fukuda at

This is not an advertisment (not meant to be, anyway) as the Yuriyagai is
non-profit making.
