On the subject of taxonomy I still think Boss with his Synopsis and
Classification of Living Organisms (1982) takes a lot of beating as it
also includes a description of the family and used in conjunction with
Vaughts work on the placement of genera seems to cover the subject well
but then to find out where these families and genera "hang out" one
needs the Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology, a massive work but
available in most scientific libraries.
