On each of the 1st 5 Fridays of the Easter Lent, the beautiful Akathist Hymn is
sung in the Eastern Orthodox Church.  It was first officially prayed by
Christians in 626AD.  It is a prayer honoring the Virgin Mary.  Two of the
stanzas might be of interest...
    "Hail!  O Seashell that dyed the Divine crimson robe for the King of the
Heavenly Powers."
    "Hail!  O Shell from whom came the Divine Pearl"
