Hi Karen

It will be interesting to read the first book you produce on molluscs, it will
be the first book on the subject written without errors.
More recent than Tuckers great work, Springsteen and Leobrera published a book
"Shells of the Phillipines", this publication coincided with a massive revison
by Beu on the Cymatium and several other revisions by Houart, Hughes, Lan,
Ponder, Houbrick, Kilburn, Petit, Emerson, Cernohorsky, Shikama, Vokes, Kosuge &
Suzuki, Marshall, Kaicher, Rockel, Coomans, Moolenbeek and Wills and Petuch.
This involved a massive list of text alterations which must have broken the
authors hearts, evolving within such a short period after the books release.
How can any author be expected to see into the future, if they did there would
be no publications, remember the person who does not make a mistake does
nothing.
There is very little reward in writing books on zoology and in particular
malacology and is usually done to further the scientific knowledge of people
such as ourselves, and future publications used to increase that knowledge.
However I am sure that if you are prepared to offer your services, to edit such
a publication, and providing you have the extensive knowledge required for such
an undertaking, you will be in great demand.
