Dear Paul, Ross and other shellies,
 
first of all I have to say hallo to each all for introducing myself
to the list. I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Bielefeld /
Germany and more of a leisure time conchologist since my main
research field are Terrestrial Isopoda, although I do some research
on fresh water bivalves.
 
And now I'd like to make a short comment on Paul Monfils' exhaustive
course in nomenclature: As far as I know suffices for geographic
expressions ending on -ensis are exclusively for female and male
names, the neuter form correctly  must be -ense, e.g.
Cerastoderma (neuter though ending on -a) hauniense or in a wider
context -is is changing to -e e.g. Mytilus edulis vs. Cerastoderma
edule or Dentalium vulgare. Made I mistake on it?
