Not to be a spoilsport, but i don't think that words like "fraud" should
be used too quickly, before all the facts are known: this is a highly
charged legal term which means that someone has set out deliberately to
lie about something for personal gain - an extremely serious charge. In
the case in point, i feel quite inclined to accept Andrew's explanation
that it was a series of mistakes and bad judgement, with no attempt to
make a profit by lying. I guess what i am saying is that reputations can
and HAVE been ruined because others jumped to conclusions before
investigating.  This list has been VERY civilized recently - let's not
change this!!!
