A while back, here on Conch-l there was a 'thread' about Man and Mollusks.
Recently I acquired a book (eBay) "Spirals from the Sea" by Jane Fearer Safer
and Frances McLaughlin Gill. A really good book that addresses the topic.
They chose the title because, "...in embryonic form all shells are spirals."
There was one for sale on Bibliofind the other day. "A good read"
