Dear Ferrets;-
        It seems to me that it would be a simple matter to measure sea levels
over the past several hundred years. Are pilings for docks in harbors more or
less covered by high or low tides? Are the Dutch polderlands more or less
threatened by rising North Sea levels?  How far back do reasonable records go?
        As a last resort, we may have to ask Andy Rindsberg.
