    Dear colleagues and friends
It is my pleasure to share with you the results of my study on phylogeny
of the Cerithioidea. This Museum has started the distribution of the paper
recently published (reference below).
I have performed a detailed anatomical study of 19 species (3 new) of 12
families of cerithioideans and obtained a cladogram. The results show the
monophyly of the superfamily that encompasses the “Campaniloidea” and the
“Vermetoidea”.
The paper is the first of a series I have done during my doctoral
project on phylogeny of the order Caenogastropoda. Each paper focuses a
superfamily. The study on the Stromboidea, Calyptraeoidea and Cypraeoidea
are in editorial process. The publications on remainder superfamilies and on
the whole order are still being done.
    Best wishes
    Luiz

Caenogastropoda) based on comparative morphology. Arquivos de Zoologia (São
