Dear Ron;
        That's the Conch-l Images site (http://geocities.com/conchlimages/).
Any lister who has a shell they can't identify (and sometimes just a
wonderful critter they want to share with everyone!) can just send me
(mailto:[log in to unmask]) a scan or photo of the shell, with as
much info as they have (size, locality, habitat), and i'll post it on
the site within a reasonable timeframe (somewhere between 10 minutes and
4 days), then will notify you, and you then inform the list, giving the
URL of your page. The site has a good selection of interesting stuff on
it now, and has a page where there are emails of experts in a good
variety of families who have agreed to help folks ID stuff in their
field of competance. This page is at
http://geocities.com/conchlimages/assistance.html .

From the once-again almost white North (hail to the sleet tonite!),
Ross M.
