Alright Ellen!!!!!!

And to make this very, very shell related - a question.

I was working on the description for Neripteron bensoni (Recluz, 1850)today
and I am wondering why we are sticking with Recluz's name instead of the
senior Neritina reticulata Sowerby, 1832 - thus Neripteron reticulata
(Sowerby, 1832)??? The only conflict I see is with Nerita reticulata
Karsten, 1789 = (N. signata Lamarck, 1822) and Nerita reticulata Quoy &
Gaimard, 1834 = (Neritodryas dubia Gmelin, 1791). Both are in a separate
genus so it seems the reticulata name would be available. Anyone know why
it isn't?
